START UP VISA

  Letter of support by the designated angel Investor group or venture capital fund or business incubator

  Minimum financial commitment of $ 200, 000 from venture capital fund or $ 75,000 from angel Investor or acceptance into a business incubator program

  The organization will send a letter of support to the candidate and a commitment certificate to IRCC.

  • Language requirements of CLB 5+ in English or French.
  • Proof of sufficient settlement funds.
  • Up to 5 applicants for one business are allowed if: each holds at least 10% voting rights and jointly with the designated organization hold more than 50% voting rights.
  • If the essential applicant is rejected by IRCC, the other application will be rejected as well.

NOC Group 51: professional occupations in art and culture

NOC Group 52: Technical occupations in art, culture, recreation, and sports

  • Must have two 1- year periods of full-time work experience in an eligible role in the last 5 years.
  • Self-employed in an eligible occupation OR involvement in an eligible occupation at a world class level OR both (1 year of each)
Business-Immigration-Self-employed
  • To continue these cultural / athletic activities to self-support in Canada and make a significant contribution to the specified economic activity.
  • Can be proven through business plan, business experience, partners, exploratory visits and finances.
